When you connect, the Arrow Flight SQL Connector (SERVER Execution Type) uses JDBC to authenticate the username and password you provide in the gRPC call headers against the Teradata Database.
With this authentication mechanism, the remote client provides the following:
- The username and password at connection time
- The connector validates these credentials against the Teradata Database
- This authentication mechanism does not require separate username and password NVPs in the connector properties
