Teradata provides patch updates during planned maintenance windows. The Cloud Operations team informs customers when there are recommended patches to Teradata software or operating systems and schedules the updates at a preferred time. After applying the patches, customers are responsible for testing applications and processes.
For NewSQL Engine instances of 70 TCores and greater, Teradata reviews patches and technical alerts weekly to determine their applicability to the customer environment.
