Teradata does not provide ESCON cables for HCAs. You must obtain ESCON cables from third-party vendors.
Cable connectors must match the port types that they plug into. PESA4 adapters require a cable with a pinless MT-RJ male connector. (See the following figure.)
For PESA4 adapters, you must order cables with pinless MT-RJ male connectors. Note that standard MT-RJ male connectors do not have pins.
The following are possible ESCON cable configurations:

- MT-RJ/ESCON Duplex cable
