An aborted Teradata TPump job is one that has been terminated early for any number of reasons (out of database space, accidental cancellation by mainframe operators, UNIX kernel panic, error limit in the Teradata TPump job exceeded, and so on) and all Teradata TPump database objects, the restart log table, the error table, and DML macros are intact.

An aborted Teradata TPump job can be restarted using the same job script that was used in the original job, and Teradata TPump will perform the recovery of the job.

TPump might not continue loading using a Named Pipe after a database restart.
