  1. Select the ODBC DSN option from the Job Source dialog box to log onto an ODBC-compliant database.
  2. Select a specific table as a data source for a job.

The ODBC Logon dialog box appears, optionally allowing the User ID and Password to be included in the Wizard job.

While connecting to MS Access (.mdb file) using a DSN, the following needs to be done based on the security privileges:

  1. If the MSAccess database (.mdb file) is Password protected, provide a value only for the Password field. Because the ODBC Logon attribute for User ID is not necessary, use '' as its value.
  2. If the MSAccess database (.mdb file) is not password protected, use '' for both the User ID and Password fields in the ODBC Logon.

Make sure to check the include User ID in the generated job and include Password in the generated job check boxes. If this is not done, you will be prompted to enter values for odbcSourceUser and odbcSourcePassword in the run job screen, while running the job, in which case the same values ('') should be entered to run the job.
