To access the application ID of a Hadoop job in the Hive connector log or exception message, you must enable operation log in your Hadoop cluster. This is not a required Hive target connector task.
- Set hive.server2.logging.operation.enabled = true in the Hive configuration.
- Confirm the operation log path provided in hive.server2.logging.operation.log.location exists on all nodes where hiveserver2 is running.
