  1. In the Custom Service Descriptor (CSD) repository path, replace the existing CSD jar file with the new one.
  2. Restart Cloudera Manager.
    A warning appears indicating there is a stale configuration and a restart is needed.
    Restarting the service results in downtime of QueryGrid. Any subsequent action, such as starting, stopping, or restarting the service, picks up the upgraded version of CSD scripts. For more information, see https://github.com/cloudera/cm_ext/wiki/CSD-Upgrade-Process.
