Teradata QueryGrid supports the following SQL statements when Spark SQL is the target connector:

  • SELECT
  • INSERT
  • SHOW or DESCRIBE (depending on the syntax of the initiator connector; for example, HELP FOREIGN is used when Teradata is the initiator connector)
  • EXPLAIN INSERT and EXPLAIN SELECT

The Spark SQL connector supports predicate pushdown by default. Spark SQL target connectors support the following logical expressions as pushdown predicates: And, Or, Between, EqualTo, GreaterThan, GreaterThanOrEqual, In, IsNULL, LessThan, LessThanOrEqual, Like, Not, NotEqualTo, and NotIn.
