When you add the following data source nodes to a system in QueryGrid, you must manually enter their IP addresses or host names in QueryGrid:
  • Teradata Database
Data source nodes include TPA, PE, and HSN nodes.
  • Presto
When you add Hadoop data source nodes to a system in QueryGrid for the Hive Client connector or Spark SQL connector, you can do one of the following:
  • Manually enter the IP addresses or host names of the nodes in QueryGrid
  • Automatically auto-populate the node list if the system is monitored by Viewpoint
Hive Client is required for running diagnostics and QueryGrid queries. Before adding data source nodes to the system, install Hive Client on all driver nodes in the Hadoop cluster.

If the QueryGrid Manager publicAddress is not an IP address, or if its host name cannot be resolved through DNS, before adding data source nodes, verify that the host name or IP address of the QueryGrid Manager server or servers (if using clustering) have been added to the host files of the nodes in the data source system.
