Once installation is complete, one or more DSNs need to be configured for first time users.
  1. From Teradata Client 16.20 program folder on your Windows system, click ODBC Administrator sub-folder, and select the 64-bit ODBC Administrator for 64-bit Windows OS.
  2. Click the System DSN tab.
  3. Click Add button to configure a new data source.
  4. In the Create New Data Source dialog box, select the Teradata Database ODBC Driver 16.20 data source from the list.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. In the Teradata Database ODBC Driver 16.20 DSN Setup window, enter the following information:
    Keyword Description
    Data Source Use this field to give this database connection an easy-to-recognize name.
    Teradata Server Info The hostname or IP address of your SQL Engine node.
    Authentication > Username Database user name.
    Authentication > Password Database user password.
  7. Click OK to save the data source information.
  8. You can define DSN for additional connections by repeating step 6 through step 12.
