This is only applicable when connecting to Vantage with Teradata ODBC Driver.

This error occurs on macOS client when the .odbc.ini file in the user home directory is not properly linked to the odbc.ini file where the DSN information resides.

Check these items to solve the error:

  1. Make sure you have followed the instructions in Installing and Configuring ODBC on macOS to specify an ODBC driver and a data source name (DSN) in your system.
  2. Run the command ls -l ~/.odbc.ini to verify it points to the correct odbc.ini file, as indicated in Installing unixODBC Driver Manager Libraries.

If not, run the following commands:

    rm ~/.odbc.ini
    ln -s ~/Library/ODBC/odbc.ini ~/.odbc.ini
