The Schema Editor toolbar contains buttons that work on certain elements within the schema. Some of these buttons might not be activated depending on which element you have selected in the Schema Tree View. As an example the figure below shows the schema editor toolbar with all buttons active. One or more icons display active depending on the element type you select in the Schema Editor.

Measure | Creates a new measure for a cube. | |
Cube | Creates a new cube in the schema. | |

Hierarchy | Creates a new hierarchy for a dimension. | |
Level | Creates a new level within a hierarchy. | |
Property | Creates a new property for a level. | |
Calculated Measure | Creates a calculated measure for a cube. | |
Calculated Member | Creates a calculated member for a cube. | |
Named Set | Creates a named set within a cube. | |
Delete | Deletes the currently selected element in the Schema Tree View from the schema. |
