Version Upgrades to CMIC 14

Upgrade from CMIC 12 to 14 only. CMIC 11 must be migrated to CMIC 12 first. CMIC 14 code base replaces CMIC 13 and updates to CMIC 13 will no longer be provided.

SuSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 10 managed nodes no longer supported. Supported operating systems include SLES 11 SP1 or later for upgrade to CMIC 14.

Retired Chassis and Plugins

  • All bare metal CMICs including Eagle (note EagleU1U VMS retained)
  • CMIC Eagle
  • Node Eagle
  • CMIC XVM
  • Node XVM
  • Bynet V4
  • Disk Array XBB2
  • TAPELIB SL500

Managing Users

  • Due to changes in how the data is stored and distributed, no users and groups will be migrated to CMIC 13 or 14. Custom user roles are no longer supported. For information on the built-in available user roles and their permissions, see: User Roles
  • Since CMIC 13 and 14 present new user roles, the saved credentials in the Server Management Administrator portlet may need to be updated to use the new credentials
