The Dashboard is the home page for the Web Client. Although all users can access the Web Client, access to some of the tasks requires specific permissions. See User Roles.

Open a browser and go to: https://<<hostname or IP address of CMIC or Teradata ServiceConnect connection>>:9981.
Any CMIC can be used.
IPV6 addresses must be surrounded by [square brackets].
- Log on with your username and password.

to navigate to the SMWeb Classic home page to access the Java Client and the CMIC web pages.
- [Optional] If the CMIC you are trying to connect to is down, try using a different CMIC in the system.
