You can power off a cabinet, chassis, or VM, including a FRU that cannot be replaced using the Replace FRU command.
Before removing power from a cabinet, chassis, or VM, notify users and determine if any applications are running on the nodes. If applications are running, terminate them. Data integrity cannot be ensured unless you shut down all applications before starting a power off.
  1. From the Tree View, select the component that you want to power off.
  2. Select Functions > Power Off. A confirmation message appears.
  3. Click Yes. If your selection included a node, VMS chassis, or VM node, the operating system performs an orderly shutdown and the components are powered off.
