This chapter explains the prerequisites for installing Teradata Tiered Archive/Restore Architecture Server for NetVault (Teradata TARA Server for NetVault).
The system requirements in this guide pertain only to the Teradata TARA Server for NetVault. For system requirements of NetVault Server installation or NetVault SmartClient installation, refer to the appropriate NetVault user guides, which are available from Quest.
The Teradata TARA Server for NetVault can be installed on any BAR Server in the configuration. However, it is recommended that the Teradata TARA Server for NetVault be installed on a system other than the one used as the NetVault Server.
