When using the access module products, consider the following database factors, which might improve performance:
- Use the fastest Teradata client load or export utility that meets the requirements. For example, if a new (initially empty) table is being loaded, it is faster to use Teradata FastLoad than TPump. See Teradata Vantage™ - Database Administration, B035-1093 for additional information about selecting the appropriate Teradata utility.
- Use the appropriate number of sessions to the database. Using multiple sessions in parallel can provide higher throughput.
- Use fast, dedicated networks to connect a data source and the database. Minimize other traffic on the connections consuming bandwidth.
- Make sure no other applications and services are running on your system while it is running a load job.
