Versions of IBM AIX support IBM XL C/C++ Compiler v7.0 (runtime libraries fileset xlC.rte v7.x.x.x) through IBM XL C/C++ Compiler v10.0 (runtime libraries fileset xlC.rte v10.x.x.x). IBM XL C/C++ Compiler v9.0 (runtime libraries fileset xlC.rte v9.x.x.x) or later must be used because Shared ICU Libraries for Teradata has been compiled with v9.0, otherwise runtime errors such as unresolved symbols from libC.a will occur.
- Download the appropriate compiler from IBM C and C++ Compilers.
- Install the downloaded compiler according to the instructions provided with the compiler.
