While installing an update or working with multiple versions of the software, create one copy of the HSISXMS and TDPNSPCI program pair for each version.
Program Being Copied Suffix to Use
HSISXMS

HSISXMSx

where x is one EBCDIC alphanumeric or national ($, #, @) character that uniquely identifies HSISXMS within the Link Pack Area.

The HSISXMSx and TDPNSPCy suffix values can be the same character.

Tell TDP to use this version of HSISXMS in one of the following ways:
  • By specifying PARM='OSSISUFX=x' on the EXEC JCL statement used to start TDP
  • By specifying the TDP 'INITIAL OSSISUFX x' command in the TDPPARM dataset provided when TDP is started

An INITIAL command value overrides any PARM value.

TDPNSPCI

TDPNSPCy

where y is one EBCDIC alphanumeric or national ($, #, @) character that uniquely identifies TDPNSPCI within the Link Pack Area.

The HSISXMSx and TDPNSPCy suffix values can be the same character.

Tell TDP to use this version of TDPNSPCI in one of the following ways:
  • By specifying PARM='PCSUFX=y' on the EXEC JCL statement used to start TDP
  • By specifying the TDP 'INITIAL PCSUFX y' command in the TDPPARM dataset provided when TDP is started

An INITIAL command value overrides any PARM value.

You can use sample USERMOD TDU0002 (in dbcpfx.SAMPLIB) to create unique versions of the PC Communication Interface.
