- For a base release (for example, 17.00.00), use APPLY to install the base function and any dependent functions at the major or minor release level.
Include any dependent interface functions (such as IMS or CICS) in this APPLY job.
- To install the dependent functions after the base function has been installed, perform the SMP ACCEPT process on the base function before performing the APPLY process on the dependent functions.
