Any job started by the Master Scheduler, including Teradata Director Program, must conform to certain environmental limitations as follows:

  • The JCL cataloged procedure must be in SYS1.PROCLIB. Other procedure libraries are not used by the Master Scheduler so the TDP0 and TDP1 procedures must be placed into SYS1.PROCLIB.
  • All data sets referenced by the JCL must be cataloged in the master catalog or not require any catalog. Other catalogs are not used by the Master Scheduler so all data sets referenced in the TDP0 and TDP1 JCL must be cataloged in the master catalog or specify unit and volume information so no catalog is referenced.
  • Depending on various system exits and customizations, other JCL changes may be required. For example, a TIME=1440 specification must be added to the JCL EXEC statement.
