After you have completed the previous steps, you may perform this step at any time before or after you complete the installation of the Teradata software.
The Copy the HCI Modules Into System Libraries task requires an Initial Program Load (IPL) to refresh the Link Pack Area. It is recommended that an IPL only be performed once, and not be performed until the Copy the HCI Modules Into the System Libraries procedure is performed.
  1. [Optional] If changes were made to IEASVCxx and the DYNAMIC operand will not be used on the TDP INITIAL IACMODE SVC command, perform an IPL.
  2. Perform an IPL or issue the MVS SETSSI command to effect the changes to IEFSSNxx.
  3. Perform an IPL or issue the MVS SET SCH command to effect the changes to SCHEDxx.
  4. Perform an IPL, issue the MVS SET PROG, or issue the MVS SETPROG APF command to effect the changes to PROGxx.
