Teradata Director Program (TDP) resides on a mainframe client and provides channel communication between client application programs, which process data, and a Teradata Database. TDP runs as a subsystem in its own address space. TDP functions include the following:
- Session initiation and termination
- Logging, verification, recovery, and restart
- Physical input to and output from the Teradata server
For a detailed description of TDP, see Teradata® Director Program Reference (B035-2416).
