When you install Teradata Tools and Utilities, the previous version is automatically uninstalled.Before you install Teradata Tools and Utilities, you must first uninstall all earlier versions of the product (except TeraGSS). This helps prevent problems that might be caused by having different versions of the product installed.
Client applications can cause a Windows path overrun if the PATH system environment
variable or a user environment variable exceeds 1024 characters, causing programs not to
run. If the problem is encountered, upgrade the system to the latest service pack for Windows XP
or install the Microsoft hotfix to increase the PATH size to 2048 characters.
For ODBC on all platforms, because the installation process installs both 32-bit and
64-bit versions of the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) Driver for Teradata, both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Teradata GSS Client must
be installed before you install Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) Driver for Teradata.
