While installing a Teradata Tools and Utilities prodect, the installation package prompts for the following directory input:
Which directory should be used as the base directory for this installation? (The files will be installed in <basedir>/teradata/client/17.20 (default base dir: /opt): Using </opt> as the package base directory.
Having the ability to specify the Teradata Tools and Utilities installation directory, the 32-bit libraries, and the placement of man pages allows complete control over where the Teradata Tools and Utilities components are placed and supports the Solaris zones that have been created on a Solaris SPARC system.
- [Optional] The default values provided can be selected, or another directory location can be entered for each of the prompts.
