Unity uses Teradata Wallet to ensure all required passwords are stored in a secure location. After you run the commands to set up Teradata Wallet, you do not need to resupply the password each time.
  1. Initialize TD Wallet installation to enter a password:
    1. Enter the following command on each server: server1:/var/opt # tdwallet suppwd
    2. Enter the password.
    3. Re-enter the password.
    The password is set.
  2. Set the passphrase:
    1. Enter the following command on each server: server1:/var/opt # tdwallet chgsavkey
    2. Enter the passphrase.
The saved-key is established. Make sure to save the Teradata Wallet password and passphrase. If you lose them, you can reset the password and passphrase; however, all wallet entries will be deleted for security.
