Synchronization includes databases, tables, views, Stored Procedures, Macros and User Defined Functions.
You can use any of the following methods to synchronize data across Teradata Databases.

If Teradata Replication Services is used to perform the initial data synchronization, it must be disabled once Unity is used to manage the data synchronization.

| Create a production backup system | In a situation where Unity manages production and Disaster Recovery (DR) systems, the DR system typically has the exact same data as the production system. After the restore completes, both systems have the same data. | Restore a full backup of the production system to the DR system while the production system is offline. |
| Synchronize individual tables | If a full backup/restore cannot be done or not all tables are replicated across all systems (systems do not have identical data), you can synchronize the tables individually. | Perform a table copy with Teradata Data Mover while the source tables are offline. |
After synchronization, the SYSTEM ACTIVATE ALL command in the UnityAdmin tool is available.
