Unity authenticates the user on all systems listed in the session routing rule.

If any of the Teradata Database systems in the session routing list return a user authentication error, such as a wrong password, Unity rejects that client session on all Teradata Database systems.

The default Teradata Database for the user must be the same on all Teradata Database systems. If the default user is not the same, Unity rejects the session.

If Startup text is defined, it is chosen randomly from any one of the systems where the logon succeeded. Make sure that if a startup text is defined, it is the same across all systems where the user logs in.
If the startup query is used, it only runs during normal logons and does not run when connections are opened by Unity as part of the recovery processes.
