  1. Select the Environment, then Access Management then Users.
  2. Connect to the environment as admin (DBC).
    You see currently defined users and their roles and compute groups. For example, DBC has a TD_CC_ADMIN and a TD_CC_MEMBER role for the new compute group.
  3. Select the user, then select > Edit.
  4. Edit the user attributes, then select Save.
    Item Description
    Username Email recommended, up to 32 characters
    Password
    • At least one non-blank character (trailing blanks are ignored)
    • Between 8 and 64 characters
    • Alphanumeric and special characters
    • Cannot contain double quotation marks (")
    Allow UI login Allows the user to sign in to the Console.

    This selection is equivalent to using GRANT LOGON WITH NULL PASSWORD when creating a user with SQL.

    Permanent space Number of bytes of permanent storage for this user. Some users don't require permanent space of their own.
    Character set
    • Database default
    • Latin
    • Unicode (Needed for multibyte character data sets)
    Compute Groups Select Admin or Member for each compute group for this user.
    • Admin allows the user to manually suspend and resume compute groups even when a schedule is defined. Selecting Admin automatically selects Member also.
    • Member allows the user to view compute groups.
    Roles Select the available roles for this user

    Create, edit and delete compute groups
    TD_CONF_REPORTS_USER (Conf Reports User)
    View and create user reports, and refresh data for these reports
    TD_CURRENT_QUERIES_ADMIN (Current Queries Admin)
    View and cancel current queries of all users
    TD_CURRENT_QUERIES_VIEW (Current Queries View)
    View current queries of all users
    TD_DATA_MODEL_ADMIN (Data Model Admin)
    Create an industry model database and reference tables in it
    TD_DATA_SCIENTIST (Data Scientist)
    Access Open Analytics Framework APIs
    TD_ENVIRONMENT_ADMIN (Environment Admin)
    Grant self-service management permissions for data protection, including backup and restore schedule creation and updates
    TD_QM_ADMIN (QM Admin)
    View the current and completed queries for all users and cancel actively running queries in the unified queries summary
    TD_QM_VIEW (QM View)
    View current and completed queries of all users in the unified queries summary
    TD_QUERY_HISTORY_VIEW (Query History View)
    View the query history of all users
