The following set of clauses is optional. You can specify all or none of them, in any order. Omitted clauses have their default values. These clauses are explained in subsequent sections in this topic.
- Specific function name
- Function class
- Parameter style
- Deterministic characteristics
- Null call
- External data access (see External Data Access Clause: CREATE FUNCTION and REPLACE FUNCTION (External Form))
If you specify any of these clauses, you must specify them before specifying the External clause (see External Data Access Clause: CREATE FUNCTION and REPLACE FUNCTION (External Form)). You can follow the External clause with a Parameter Style clause.
