Vantage on Virtualization Deployer supports deployment of four license tiers. Each tier differs in scalability and performance.

Base, Advanced, and Enterprise tiers
Are fully-functional instances of VantageCore on Virtualization and allow you to upgrade deployed software.
Developer tier - Standard
Is a fully-functional instance of the database, and can be used for evaluation purposes such as proof of concept, development and testing, data validation, and as a sandbox for Vantage users. The Developer tier does not, however, allow updating of deployed software.

Important: You cannot upgrade to a later version of Developer. Upgrading requires a new installation, which destroys existing data.
Developer tier - Preconfigured
Is a simplified version of the Developer tier that allows you to quickly deploy the database by using the .qcow2 image.
