- Navigate database objects through a visual user interface.
- Run queries, display result sets, and manage SQL history.
- Run magic commands that enhance the user experience, including a chart magic for visualization and dataload magic for loading data into Teradata Vantage.
- Use an integrated Teradata parser for SQL syntax checking and context-sensitive code completion.
With various sample notebooks, you can run SQL, Python, or R code and create charts and graphs. You can also create your own SQL, Python, or R notebooks and connect to your own storage container to load data. See Internet Access.
Teradata Package for R (tdplyr) and Teradata Package for Python (teradataml) provide access to powerful Vantage analytic functions and Vantage in-database analytic capabilities. They combine the benefits of the open source language environment with the massive parallel processing capabilities of Vantage.
Internet Access
JupyterHub does not require outbound network connections to run, however, installing libraries, additional graph types or magics, or downloading packages or data from the Internet while using JupyterHub are examples where Internet access is required. If Internet access is denied or your browser does not connect, the URL you are accessing may not be on Teradata allowlist. To resolve this issue, see Support.
