For Vantage Trial, Teradata provides free credits in the form of a block of I/O and compute units called TCore-Hours. Teradata provides 10,000 TCore-Hours to use over a period of 30 days.
A TCore-Hour is a metric representing the availability of compute and I/O resources on the underlying infrastructure, by the hour. TCore is a metric used to price Teradata software. Although this is a free trial, Teradata uses this metric to provide you with a fixed number of TCore-Hours during the trial. The rate of draw depends on the number, type, and TCore ratings of provisioned instances. When your TCore-Hours reach zero, contact your Teradata Account Team.

TCore-Hours and Elasticity
When you scale up or scale out, you consume TCore-Hours at a faster rate because additional compute resources are used. When you scale down or scale in, you consume fewer TCore-Hours because a smaller amount of compute resources are used. When you stop your system, you consume no TCore-Hours until you start your system again.
