Software Description
Teradata Vantage Provides the flagship analytics platform for secure, scalable, high-performance analytics for solving business challenges.

Teradata Vantage on AWS (DIY) does not include the Machine Learning and Graph Engines.

Teradata Data Mover Leverages established data-loading protocols and technologies to meet data movement requirements. You can use the utility for regular, periodic tasks (like populating a dependent data mart from an enterprise data warehouse) or special, one-time tasks (like moving data to a test system).
Teradata Data Stream Controller Provides administrative functions and metadata storage and is a key component of the backup and restore of Teradata systems in the public cloud. The Data Stream Controller is an administrative server required to enable object-level backup and restore. The server contains a repository for backup and restore job definitions and related configuration details for Teradata systems and backup targets.
Teradata Ecosystem Manager Provides an end-to-end approach to meeting an application service level agreement through monitoring, administering, and controlling both single and multi-system environments to allow you to more effectively manage your data warehouse environment.
Teradata Parallel Upgrade Tool Provides a way to upgrade Vantage and other Teradata software. PUT is bundled with Vantage.
Teradata QueryGrid™ Provides a data analytics fabric that allows you to initiate a single SQL query that joins data from one or more data sources that can be of the same type, such as Vantage and Vantage, or of different types, such as Vantage and Hive.
Teradata Query Service Provides an interface to Vantage allowing application developers a simplified, modern interface to connect to data from a web page or application.
Teradata Server Management

Monitors the instance and generates alerts related to database and operating system errors and operational state changes.

Teradata Studio™ Provides a desktop tool for performing query development, database administration, and ad hoc data movement tasks on Vantage and Hadoop systems.

This software is obtained from Teradata Community and is installed and configured separately from other software components.

Teradata Tools and Utilities Provides utilities and libraries for integrating your Teradata system into your enterprise and streamlining the daily data warehouse management tasks, such as moving massive volumes of data and accessing multiple data sources in parallel, and improving your overall Teradata system performance.

This software is bundled with, but installed and configured separately from, Vantage.

Teradata Unity™ Provides the ability to synchronize multiple Vantage systems for high availability, disaster recovery, and workload optimization. Teradata Unity enables routing of users and queries between Vantage systems to balance applications and workloads. With Unity, systems work like one analytical ecosystem, so you can manage database changes and query routing to automatically maintain consistency across your environment.
Teradata Viewpoint Provides a web-based management portal for Teradata performance and health management that uses configurable portlets for which you customize your own system management dashboard. Included in certain versions of Viewpoint, Teradata Data Lab™ allows you to provision and manage analytic workspaces in the Teradata system.
