By default, the time zone for Teradata Database instances on AWS is set based on the region you choose when deploying your instance. For example, if you deploy an instance using the U.S. West region, instances are in the Pacific time zone. You can change the operating system time zone when deploying the Teradata Database instance.

Teradata Data Mover, Teradata Data Stream Controller, Teradata Query Service, Teradata Unity, and Teradata Viewpoint default to the same time zone as the database instance. Teradata Unity must be in the same time zone as Teradata Database. All databases managed by Teradata Unity must be configured for the same time zone.

Teradata Ecosystem Manager and Server Management time zones default to UTC and cannot be changed.
