In the Console, you can backup and restore data using snapshots. Or, you can use conventional Backups.
Snapshots are full system backups only, not object-level backups. They allow you to restore data to target public cloud Teradata systems. Creating and restoring snapshots is much faster than creating and restoring conventional full-system backups. Snapshots enable more frequent, recent backups and less system downtime.
Snapshots are ideal for these use cases:
- Full system backups for data protection
- Full system backups for Disaster Recovery purposes
