Vantage supports multiple VMs of Teradata Server Management (CMICs) to provide high availability and management of larger database systems. High availability requires at least three CMICs.
If you deployed one CMIC and later want to deploy additional CMIC VMs, you must first delete the existing Server Management VM and then redeploy Server Management with a minimum of three CMICs.
