Teradata products support multiple VM sizes with different characteristics. In addition, Teradata DSC VMs use block Blob storage as a backup destination. Each storage type carries implications for persistence, performance, capacity, and cost.

During deployment, the Teradata solution template automatically creates and attaches the required premium managed disks and also creates standard storage accounts for the VM boot diagnostics information. If you deploy a single Teradata product from an image, you select the storage type during deployment. The default is premium managed disks.
