This is only applicable if you are configuring ServiceConnect on a CMIC.

A proxy server connection can be configured when the customer site requires outgoing communication over the Internet to be routed through a proxy server in their control.

Complete these steps for each individual proxy server requirements.

  1. In the Web Client, select "" > Settings > Proxy Server.
  2. [Optional] If Proxy Auto Configuration is used, select Enabled, then enter the Configuration File URL.
  3. To enable HTTP Proxy, select Enabled then enter these Host settings:
    Host Setting Description
    Host The host IP address or host name of the proxy server
    Port Set this to match the HTTP proxy configuration
  4. If host validation is required, select Validate Host.
  5. If credential authentication is required, select Use Authentication Credentials and enter Username and Password.
  6. To enable SOCKS Proxy, select Enabled then enter these settings:
    Host Setting Description
    Host The host IP address or host name of the proxy server
    Port Set this to match the SOCKS proxy configuration
  7. If host validation is required, select Validate Host.
  8. If credential authentication is required, select Use Authentication Credentials then enter Username and Password.
  9. Click Apply.
