Teradata Database supports multiple VMs of Teradata Server Management (CMICs) to provide high availability and management of larger database systems. High availability requires at least two CMICs, each of which can manage up to 70 nodes.
If you have deployed one CMIC and later want to deploy a second, you must first delete the existing Server Management VM, then redeploy Server Management with two CMICs.
