You can stop HSNs when they are not needed and start them again later.
  1. Stop one or more functional HSNs. 
    # tdc-hot-standby stop n
    where n is the number of functional HSNs you want to stop.
You will receive an error if there are no HSNs to stop or if you attempt to stop more HSNs than are currently running in your system.
