Important: For security purposes, we highly recommend default passwords be changed at the time you deploy Vantage on VMware.
VM Type Account User Name Default Password Description
TPA (SQL Engine) Default OS user tvme iumb123 Default operating system user name and default password. Commands must be run with sudo.
Root OS user root iumb123 Default operating system root user name and default password if the Security Hardening feature is disabled in Vantage. Commands do not need to be run with sudo.
SQL Engine user dbc dbc Default SQL Engine user name and password.
Server Management (CMIC) Root OS user root iumb123 Operating system root user name and default password.
CMIC OS user cmic smcmic Operating system CMIC user name and default password.
Server Management Client Admin User admin admin Server Management Admin User name and default password.
DSC Default OS user tvme iumb123 Default operating system user name and default password. Commands must be run with sudo.

Admin Teradata user dbc dbc#Bar! Default Teradata Administrative user name and password.
DSC Repository user DSUADMIN dsu#Bar! Default Vantage user name and password. It is the same default user name and password for a superuser.
DSC Repository user bar dsu#Bar! Default user name and password for the DSC repository user. Used for Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) operations on BAR.
DSC Repository user barbackup dsu#Bar! Default user name and password for the backup DSC repository user. Used for Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) operations on BARBACKUP.
DSC OS user dscuser iumb123 Default operating system dscuser user name.
VP (Viewpoint) with Query Service included Default OS user tvme iumb123 Default operating system user name and default password. Commands must be run with sudo.
Root OS user root iumb123 Default operating system root user name and default password if the Security Hardening feature is disabled in Vantage. Commands do not need to be run with sudo.
Viewpoint database user viewpoint viewpoint Default Viewpoint user name and password created on the database. Viewpoint logs into the database with these credentials.
Viewpoint portal user admin teradata Default Viewpoint portal user name and password.
