The Developer Tier supports both static and DHCP network protocols. If you select DHCP and the vCenter server has DHCP not configured with the default gateway, you must input the gateway and public_submask properties in the common.IT.properties.json file.

Teradata Vantage on VMware supports local virtual switches so each ESXi host must have local virtual switches for the BYNET, Server Management VM, and DSC.

The DSC virtual switch must have maximum transmit unit (MTU) value of 9000.
The Server Management virtual switch must have maximum transmit (MTU) value of 1500.
