Run /opt/teradata/viewpoint/dcs/bin/syncOSPGTimezone.sh to sync OS and Postgres timezone of a server.

Following options are available from the script:
  1. View available OS timezones
  2. View available Postgres timezones
  3. Sync OS and Postgres timezone
  4. Check current OS and Postgres timezone
Enter option (or 'q' to quit):
  1. View available OS timezones
This option displays the list of valid OS timezones.
  2. View available Postgres timezones
This option displays the list of valid Postgres timezones.
  3. Sync OS and Postgres timezone
This option syncs the OS and Postgres timezones based on the timezone input.
The operation checks if the OS and Postgres timezones are in sync, and process as following:
    • If yes, a notification appears whether you still want to change the timezone? Typing Y/y prompts to provide the valid timezone.
    • If not, a notification appears to provide the valid timezone.
    • If the input is an invalid timezone or the yast software/Postgres can not access the input, an error message appears.
    • If the timezone is valid, the operation syncs both OS and Postgres to the same timezone as in the input.
  4. Check current OS and Postgres timezone
This option displays the current timezones of OS and Postgres.
