Activating a ruleset allows you to begin enforcing your workload management rules on the target system.
Activating a ruleset automatically copies the ruleset to the Active section on the selected Teradata Aster system. Only one ruleset is active on the system at a time. When you activate a ruleset, all existing workload management settings on the Teradata Aster system are replaced and cannot be recovered unless you have a working copy.
The Teradata Viewpoint Administrator must grant your role permission to edit rulesets so you can complete this action.
- From the Workload Designer view, select a system from the list.
- For the ruleset that you want to activate in the Working section, click the ruleset
and select Make Active. - Click Activate to confirm that you want to activate this ruleset.Your settings replace the current workload management settings on the Teradata Aster system. The ruleset appears in the Active section, displaying the date and time it was activated, and the user who activated it.
