This function is only available when connected to a Teradata database.

The current transaction timestamp (based on the session time zone). The TEMPORAL_TIMESTAMP value is identical for all requests submitted in each transaction. The seconds precision of the result of TEMPORAL_TIMESTAMP is limited to hundredths of a second. TEMPORAL_TIMESTAMP returns zeros for any digits to the right of the two most significant digits in the fractional portion of seconds. When dragging a Temporal Timestamp function into a variable, the following tree element is created.

Variable Creation > Input > Variables: SQL Elements pane - Date and Time > Temporal Timestamp

There are no children (empty) branches of the tree as no arguments are required for the Temporal Timestamp function.

There are no special properties for the Temporal Timestamp function.
