This function is only available when connected to a Teradata database.
When a SQL expression appears as an item in a New Variant Type parameter list, the Expression with Alias SQL element may be used. It provides a new Properties dialog that contains an alias field that can be used to assign an alias to the associated parameter expression. An alias name can alternately be associated with an expression by clicking slowly on the Expression with Alias label in the work area and entering a value. Either way, an alias must be associated with an expression parameter. For more information, see New Variant Type (Teradata Database).
