  • Prior to installing TWM, remove any previous versions first. If this is not done, the installation process invokes the uninstall process.
  • When installing TWM or any TTU component, reboot individual installations when prompted. Do not delay your reboot until all the software is installed. There are dependencies on certain versions of DLL and OCX files that are not always consistent across all products.
  • The Aster Analytics JSON files are embedded in the TWM installation. These files are installed in the <TWM Installation Folder>\Scripts\Aster\JSON folder. If an updated version of the Aster Analytics JSON files becomes available, replace the existing files with the updated versions.
  • The configuration.xml file used in the Profiler Plug-in has moved from the installation folder to the users folder. In order to upgrade the Profiler Plug-in from version 5.4.1 (or earlier) to 5.4.2 (or later) and maintain your metadata configurations, you will need to copy the configuration file from the install directory to the user directory. Specifically, you copy the directory/file com.teradata.twm.profilerplugin/configuration.xml depending on the OS and tool being used:
    • Windows - Studio: c:\Program Files\Teradata\Client\<release>\Teradata Studio\configuration to c:\Users\<user>\user\TWM\configuration
    • Windows - Eclipse: c:\<eclipse_install>\configuration to c:\Users\<user>\user\TWM\configuration
    • • Linux - Studio: /opt/teradata/TeradataStudio/configuration to <user_home>/user/TWM/configuration
    • Linux - Eclipse: <eclipse_install>/configuration to <user_home>/user/TWM/configuration
    • Mac - Studio: /Applications/TeradataStudio/configuration to /Users/<user>/user/TWM/configuration
    • Mac - Eclipse: /Applications/eclipse/configuration to /Users/<user>/user/TWM/configuration
    Included in this change, the log files are also moved to /Users/<user>/user/TWM/logs.
  • The 5.4.4 Profiler Plug-in has not changed. Profiler Plug-in 5.4.4 is included in the release media and is reflected as such in the zip files.
  • The 5.4.4 Model Manager has not changed. Model Manager 5.4.4 is included in the release media and is reflected as such in the zip files.
