If you have custom configuration information in the TdgssUserConfigFile.xml file, make a copy of the file before uninstalling the software. After installing the new version, copy the configuration file to the appropriate location and execute run_tdgssconfig to initialize the custom configuration. See Initializing Custom Configuration Settings for Teradata GSS Client.
