Use these steps to create a standard CBB backup job. For IR-enabled backups, see Using Incremental Restore to Maintain Your DR System.

    Create the Job

  1. Open the BAR Operations portlet.
  2. Select New Job.
    If the New Job window does not appear, select the Saved Jobs tab.
  3. On the New Job screen:
    1. Select Backup as the job type.
    2. [Optional] To migrate objects from an existing ARC or TARA script, click Browse and select the script.
    3. Click OK.
  4. Under New Backup Job:
    1. Enter a unique Job Name.
    2. Select a Source System.
    3. In Enter System Credentials, enter a user name and password for the system.
      Account String information is not required.
      The password is applied to all jobs associated with this system and user account.
    4. Select a Target Group.
    5. [Optional] Enter a job description.
  5. Select the Objects tab.
  6. Select the objects from the source system to backup.
  7. [Optional] Select Selection Summary to verify the selected objects..
    Size information is not available for DBC only backup jobs. N/A displays as the size value for DBC only backup jobs.
  8. [Optional] To adjust job settings for the job, click the Job Settings tab.
  9. Click Save.
    The newly created backup job is listed in the Saved Jobs view.
  10. Run the Job

  11. Click "" next to a job.
  12. Select Run.
  13. Select OK.
  14. Select the Job Scope: Full.
    A newly created job only has Full as the available Job Scope. When you rerun an existing job, Delta and Cumulative are available.
  15. Select Run.
